Besides the blue bird beeing a symbol for hope and happiness, did you know there was a play by Maurice Maeterlinck about the siblings Mytyl and Tytyl, searching for a blue bird?
Their search leads them to a forrest, the palace of night, the garden of happiness, the land of memories and the kingdom of future.
In the end, they find the bird in a birdcage at home and come to notice that luck had always been by their side.
Am I the only one that sees the reference~?
Birdcage- Palace ~Blue Bird~
Lyrics: Asagi
Music: Asagi
Oh, forest of the night, my beloved forest.
While the little children are asleep, it's knocking on my door.
"Who's there?"
"Only the wind."
You're searching for the blue bird flown off from the opened birdcage.
I know you're on a journey to find me, pursuing my figure.
In your memories
where we can always meet again.
In your dreams
where I flutter through the flower garden, even If your wish won't be granted.
Although the figure of happiness looks different to everybody,
they all wish for it.
That the moment may comes where life is born
in the light.
That all the sadness will eventually disappear
into the darkness.
I want you to notice the warm being by your side as you're
searching for the blue bird flown off from the opened birdcage.
The moment has come to begin your journey, get going.
To the people that need us.
If one day, in this world
we can gather to a swarm and fly the skies,
blue, blue birds to everywhere,
I want to carry this happiness
to your side too.
